Support for Deadline Defender and all Halverton Marketplace apps. Most questions are answered below — if not, we reply to every email within one business day.

Up and running in under a minute.

01
Install from the Marketplace

Go to the Atlassian Marketplace and search for Deadline Defender. Click Install — no configuration required. Your 30-day free trial starts immediately.

02
Open any Jira project

Navigate to any project in Jira Cloud. Deadline Defender appears as a tab in the project sidebar. It works on your existing historical data from the moment it's installed — no import needed.

03
Read the audit log

Every due-date change is listed with the assignee, the old date, the new date, and the total slip. Filter by user or date range, then export to CSV if you need to share it.

Common questions, straight answers.

Does it work on my existing Jira data?

Yes. Deadline Defender reads Jira's change history, which goes back to when each ticket was created. The full audit log is available from the moment you install — no historical import required.

What permissions does it need?

Two read-only scopes: read:jira-work and read:jira-user. The app cannot modify any Jira data — it only reads issue history and user display names.

Where is my data stored?

Nowhere outside your Atlassian tenant. Deadline Defender is built on Atlassian Forge, which means the app runs inside Atlassian's own infrastructure. We never receive, store, or process your Jira data on any external server.

My audit log is empty — what's wrong?

The audit log only shows tickets where a due date was explicitly set and then changed. If no ticket in the project has had its due date moved, the log will be empty. Check that your tickets have due dates assigned in Jira.

How do I cancel or change my plan?

Billing is handled entirely by Atlassian. You can manage, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription from the Atlassian Marketplace billing portal under your Jira administration settings.

Does it work with Jira Server or Data Center?

No — Deadline Defender is Jira Cloud only. It is built on Atlassian Forge, which is a Cloud-only platform. Server and Data Center are not supported.

Can I export the data?

Yes. The audit log has a CSV export button that downloads all due-date changes for the current project view. You can filter by date range or assignee first to narrow what gets exported.

How do I request a feature or report a bug?

Email us at hello@halvertonco.com with a description of what you saw or what you'd like to see. We read every message and use them to shape the product roadmap.
