The challenge

A medical practice operating across 8 branches in Cape Town had grown significantly but their administrative infrastructure had not kept pace. Each branch was managing appointments through a combination of paper-based systems, spreadsheets and basic software that did not communicate with the other branches.

The problems this created were significant. Appointment double-bookings were common. Inventory levels were unknown until stock had already run out. Patient records existed in multiple places with no single source of truth. The administrative staff were spending hours each week manually reconciling data across branches.

The practice needed a unified system — but off-the-shelf medical software was either too expensive, too complex or not suitable for how they specifically operated.
